Our Wish List

The North West Pre-hospital Critical Care Charity is proud to announce the arrival of a Corpuls CPR thorax-compression device, a vital piece of life-saving equipment that went operational the very same night it was delivered.
This milestone has been made possible thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of Alf, Rory and Oscar, whose determination and teamwork captured the hearts of our supporters, along with a generous fundraising grant from The Forrester Family Trust.
Together, this support is already helping us deliver the highest standard of pre-hospital critical care when it matters most.
Alf, Rory and Oscar took on an extraordinary challenge, bringing people together through determination, resilience, and community spirit. Their fundraising journey, which you can read more about here, played a crucial role in securing this advanced CPR device.
The grant funding from the Forrester Family Trust, in conjunction with their efforts, ensured the immediate purchase, delivery, and deployment of this essential equipment.
This is a powerful example of how community fundraising directly translates into lives saved.
The Corpuls CPR thorax compression device delivers consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest, allowing critical care teams to:
Maintain optimal CPR quality over extended periods
Free clinicians to focus on advanced life-saving interventions
Improve patient outcomes during complex pre-hospital emergencies
In fast-moving, high-pressure environments, this technology is a game-changer for pre-hospital cardiac arrest care.
We were delighted to welcome Curtis Young from Ortus, who delivered the device and provided expert training to our clinical team. Thanks to this hands-on training, the device was fully operational on the very first night we took ownership.
Our swift deployment underscores our dedication to promptly and efficiently utilising donor-funded equipment to assist patients throughout the North West.
We are incredibly proud to share an image of Alf, Rory and volunteer responder John during the training session, marking the moment this life-saving device joined our operational fleet. It’s a powerful reminder that behind every piece of advanced medical equipment is a story of generosity, teamwork and belief in our mission.
To Alf, Rory, and Oscar; to The Forrester Family Trust; and to everyone who donated and supported this effort, thank you. Your commitment ensures that our critical care teams have the tools they need to deliver exceptional care when every second counts.
