Our Vehicles play a vital role in delivering life-saving care across the region. Specially equipped and strategically deployed, each vehicle in our fleet is designed to support our critical care team in reaching patients quickly and efficiently – no matter the time or terrain. On this page, you’ll discover how our vehicles are more than just transport – they’re mobile emergency rooms, kitted out with advanced equipment to help save lives at the scene.

Land Rover Discovery Sport TD4

The Land Rover Discovery was donated to BASICS North West in 2017 by Land Rover. The vehicle was used by one of our responders Dr John Oates before being handed back in 2023. As BASICS North West is not a responding team, we offered to take the vehicle on and maintain it's use, serving the communities in our patch.

  • 178 housepower and 430 Nm of torque
  • 8.4 seconds 0-60 mph, 117 mph top speed

And then we have our own personal vehicles

Our responding model either has the team responding on a team vehicle, or they might respond in their own vehicle from home. Multiple resources may come together at a scene to form a team.

We are always looking for organisations who might be willing to 'Sponsor a Responder' to help cover this additional costs.

Team Responders currently cover their own...

  • Fuel
  • Additional blue light insurance
  • Tyres
