Help Us Build a Permanent Home for Critical Care Across the North West

The North West Pre-hospital Critical Care Charity exists to bring enhanced clinical care to seriously injured and critically unwell patients across our region, often at the roadside, in homes, workplaces, public spaces and remote locations.

When the worst happens, time matters. The location of our team, our vehicles, our equipment and our medicines can make a real difference to how quickly we can respond. That is why we are now seeking support to secure our own permanent critical care charity base in Warrington closer to the centre of our operational patch, ideally in or around the Warrington area.

At present, we are housed by Sentinel Ambulance Service, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support. Their generosity has helped give our charity a place to operate from as we continue to grow and develop. We will always be thankful for the role they have played in supporting our mission.

However, as demand, ambition and operational need continue to grow, the time has come for us to look towards the future.

Why Warrington?

A base in the Warrington area would place the charity in a more central position across the North West. From there, our teams would have the ability to move north, east, south or west as incidents dictate.

That improved location could help us reach more patients, support more communities and respond more effectively across a wider area. For a charity delivering time-critical care, geography matters.

A better-placed base is not just about bricks and mortar. It is about giving our team the best possible starting point when every minute counts.

Why We Need Our Own Base

Having our own home would give us the space, structure and stability needed to continue developing as a specialist emergency care charity.

A permanent base would allow us to:

Store Our Vehicles Safely

Our vehicles are vital to our work. They carry clinicians, equipment, medicines and specialist kit to incidents across the region.

Having indoor vehicle storage would help protect them from the weather, improve security and support better maintenance. It would also mean vehicles can be kept ready, stocked and accessible, helping our teams respond quickly when called upon.

Apply for Our Own Medicine Licence

One of the most important benefits of having our own premises is the ability to apply for our own medicine licence.

This would strengthen our governance, improve our operational independence and support the safe storage and management of the medicines required to deliver advanced pre-hospital care. It would be a major step forward for the charity and would help us build a more sustainable clinical model for the future.

Create Office Space for the Charity

A dedicated office would give our volunteers, trustees and support team a proper place to work, meet and plan.

Behind every emergency response is a huge amount of preparation, administration, fundraising, governance and coordination. Having a dedicated office space would help us manage the charity more effectively and give our people the environment they need to keep moving the organisation forward.

Build Training and Education Areas

Training is central to safe and effective critical care.

A permanent base could provide space for clinical training, simulation, team briefings and education sessions. It would allow us to support our clinicians, develop future team members and share knowledge with partners, supporters and the wider community.

The better trained and better prepared our teams are, the better care they can provide when someone’s life is on the line.

Store Equipment Properly

Specialist pre-hospital care requires specialist equipment. From clinical kit and protective equipment to training materials, consumables and operational supplies, storage is a constant need.

Our own base would allow us to store, organise and maintain equipment properly, making sure everything is ready when it is needed most.

Give our Charity Somewhere to Call Home

Perhaps just as importantly, a permanent base would give the North West Pre-hospital Critical Care Charity a true home.

It would be somewhere our volunteers, clinicians, trustees, fundraisers and supporters can come together. Somewhere to welcome businesses, donors and community groups. Somewhere to build identity, pride and momentum.

For a charity that exists to serve communities across the North West, having a home of our own would be transformational.

How Businesses Can Help

We are now appealing to businesses, property owners, developers, funders and community-minded organisations who may be able to help us take this next step.

Support could come in many forms, including the following:

Property rental support, property purchase support, sponsorship, a long-term lease arrangement, a suitable building offer, help with refurbishment, professional services, building materials, storage solutions, office equipment or a major charitable donation.

We would be especially interested in hearing from anyone with access to suitable premises in or around Warrington or from businesses that may be able to contribute towards the cost of securing and preparing a new base.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference to emergency care across the North West.

Your support would not simply help us buy or rent a building. It would help create a permanent operational home for a charity that brings advanced care to patients when they need it most.

A Better Base Means More Patients Helped

Every improvement we make as a charity is ultimately about patients.

A better location means our team can be better placed to respond. Better storage means vehicles and equipment can be better protected and prepared. A medicine licence means greater independence and resilience. Training space means better-prepared clinicians. Office space means stronger coordination. A home means a stronger charity.

This project is about building the foundations for the future of the North West Pre-hospital Critical Care Charity.

We are proud of what has already been achieved and deeply grateful to Sentinel Ambulance Service for supporting us to this point. Now, we are asking the wider community to help us take the next step.
